Ultralite Backpacker A-Sym (1.15 lbs) Review

Ultralite Backpacker A-SymInnovative design, solid construction, easy setup, light weight. I often backpack where a tent isn't practical, this hammock keeps me off the ground and comfortable. Takes a little getting used to for sleeping, but great for back-sleepers and decent for side-sleepers. Don't forget to have a thin foam pad with you, as your underside gets cold.

Deluxe Heavy-Duty Military Folding Cot (500 pound capacity) Review

Deluxe Heavy-Duty Military Folding CotThe cot was a little tight when I first assembled it, so I left it assembled for a couple weeks and slept on it on the back porch a few times. Now that it is broken in, it is easy to set up.The 500 pound capacity is probably right, because I am light and tend to bounce of easily,it seems hard compared to the cots I have worn out in the past. The really nice thing is the size 6' 11" long by 32 1/2" wide. The only problem was the buckle for the storage strap which was made of plastic and broke when I cinched it up.

Eureka Timberline 2 XT Adventure 7-Foot by 5-Foot Two-Person Tent Review

Eureka Timberline 2 XT Adventure 7-Foot by 5-Foot Two-Person TentI've owned this tent for a number of years. I purchased it while a Boy Scout about 6 years ago, after using a similar Eureka tent during a patrol outing.

I've never had an issue with water entering the tent. It's simple and quick to set up, and it's lightweight enough to lug around for simple outings, but not for lugging up a mountain for an outing.

It even survived being crushed by a tree. Sure, the poles are a little bent (getting new ones soon), but the only mark left on the tent was a tiny hole (less than a dime-sized tear) in the mesh, which I'll be patching shortly.

About Eureka
Though the exact year is unknown, Eureka's long history begins prior to 1895 in Binghamton, New York, where the company still resides today. Then known as the Eureka Tent & Awning Company, its first wares were canvas products--most notably, Conestoga wagon covers and horse blankets for nineteenth century American frontiersmen--as well as American flags, store awnings, and camping tents.
The company increased production of its custom canvas products locally throughout the 1930s and during the 1940 and even fabricated and erected the IBM "tent cities" just outside Binghamton. The seven acres of tents housed thousands of IBM salesmen during the company's annual stockholders meeting, which had since outgrown its previous locale. In the 1940s, with the advent of World War II and the increased demand for hospital ward tents, Eureka expanded operations and began shipping tents worldwide. Ultimately, upon the post-war return of the GIs and the resultant housing shortage, Eureka turned its attention to the home front during the 1950s by supplying awnings for the multitude of mobile homes that were purchased.
In 1960, Eureka's new and innovative Draw-Tite tent, with its practical, free standing external frame, was used in a Himalayan Expedition to Nepal by world renowned Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person documented to summit Mt. Everest only six years earlier. In 1963, Eureka made history during its own Mt. Everest ascent, with more than 60 of its tents sheltering participants from fierce 60+ mph winds and temperatures reaching below -20°F during the first all American Mt. Everest Expedition.
For backpackers and families, Eureka introduced its legendary Timberline tent in the 1970s. Truly the first StormShield design, this completely self-supporting and lightweight backpacking tent became one of the most popular tents the entire industry with sales reaching over 1 million by its ten year anniversary.
Eureka tents have also traveled as part of several historic expeditions, including the American Women's Himalayan Expedition to Annapurna I in 1978 and the first Mt. Everest ascents by a Canadian and American woman in 1986 and 1988. In recent history, tents specially designed and donated by Eureka sheltered Eric Simonson and his team on two historic research expeditions to Mount Everest, this time in a quest for truth regarding the 1924 attempted summit of early English explorers George Mallory and Andrew Irvine. During the 1999 expedition, the team made history finding the remains of George Mallory, but the complete mystery remained unsolved. Returning in 2001 to search for more clues, the team found amazing historical artifacts which are now on display at the Smithsonian.
Amazon.com Tent Guide
Selecting a Tent
Fortunately, there are all kinds of tents for weekend car campers, Everest expeditions, and everything in-between. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Expect the Worst
In general, it's wise to choose a tent that's designed to withstand the worst possible conditions you think you'll face. For instance, if you're a summer car camper in a region where weather is predictable, an inexpensive family or all purpose tent will likely do the trick--especially if a vehicle is nearby and you can make a mad dash for safety when bad weather swoops in! If you're a backpacker, alpine climber or bike explorer, or if you like to car camp in all seasons, you'll want to take something designed to handle more adversity.
Three- and Four-Season Tents
For summer, early fall and late spring outings, choose a three-season tent. At minimum, a quality three season tent will have lightweight aluminum poles, a reinforced floor, durable stitching, and a quality rain-fly. Some three-season tents offer more open-air netting and are more specifically designed for summer backpacking and other activities. Many premium tents will feature pre-sealed, taped seams and a silicone-impregnated rain-fly for enhanced waterproofness.
For winter camping or alpine travel, go with a four season model. Because they typically feature more durable fabric coatings, as well as more poles, four-season tents are designed to handle heavy snowfall and high winds without collapsing. Of course, four-season tents exact a weight penalty of about 10 to 20 percent in trade for their strength and durability. They also tend to be more expensive.
Domes and Tunnels
Tents are broadly categorized into two types, freestanding, which can stand up on their own, and those that must be staked down in order to stand upright. Freestanding tents often incorporate a dome-shaped design, and most four-season tents are constructed this way because a dome leaves no flat spots on the outer surface where snow can collect. Domes are also inherently stronger than any other design. Meanwhile, many three-season models employ a modified dome configuration called a tunnel. These are still freestanding, but they require fewer poles than a dome, use less fabric, and typically have a rectangular floor-plan that offers less storage space than a dome configuration. Many one and two-person tents are not freestanding, but they make up for it by being more lightweight. Because they use fewer poles, they can also be quicker to set up than a dome.
Size Matters
Ask yourself how many people you'd like to fit in your fabric hotel now and in the future. For soloists and minimalists, check out one-person tents. If you're a mega-minimalist, or if you have your eye on doing some big wall climbs, a waterproof-breathable bivy sack is the ticket. Some bivy sacks feature poles and stake points to give you a little more breathing room. Also, if you don't need bug protection and you want to save weight, check out open-air shelters.
Families who plan on car camping in good weather can choose from a wide range of jumbo-sized tents that will accommodate all your little ones with room to spare. A wide range of capacities is also available for three- and four-season backpacking and expedition tents. Remember, though, the bigger the tent you buy, the heavier it will be, although it's easy to break up the tent components among several people in your group. It's also helpful to compare the volume and floor-space measurements of models you're considering.

Kamp-Rite Tent Cot Oversize Tent Cot (Green) Review

Kamp-Rite Tent Cot Oversize Tent CotThis is a great product if you use it as a vehicle supported tent cot. My buddy and I ordered ours at the same time. We planned to put them up under a big enclosed awning. but the wind was so bad we couldn't get the awning up so we just camped in our tent cots. It was great! It wityhstood 30 mph gusts. There is a key/wallet/change pocket so they don't bounce around the cot. There was plenty of room for me, my next day's clothes a light and easy to get in and out of. Could sleep 2 if you really snuggle. BUT be wary. It does not stow down any smaller than the dimensions stated. I use a big truck and I bet it wouldn't stow in a compact trunk and would take up the whole back seat. It can be pretty airtight. I also used an additional camping pad to avoid the bend in the middle other reviews spoke of but I didn't have any problems at all and slept very, very comfortably. the only reason it doesn't rate 5 stars is the stowage size and I wish it had a strap inside for a light or camping fan. if it rains and you close allthe flaps it ill be pretty warm in the summer.

Trango 2 Tent - 2 Person by Mountain Hardwear Review

Trango 2 Tent - 2 Person by Mountain HardwearThis tent is on par with the North Face VE-series, and is extremely well made.Attention to details for durability and long-life were made for this tent. All of the stitching is excellently done, the durability of every pull, tab, wall, zipper, etc, show quality and durability. This tent is built for extremely harsh, cold conditions. The poles are incredibly well engineered (if not, over-engineered), as well as the clip system. No sleeves to catch the poles, rip, or cause problems setting up the tent.Every part of the tent, except the floor and fly are made of rip-stop nylon. This is, by far, the highest quality tent that I own.I gladly put my life in this tent's hands, on Winter trips. It is a true expedition tent - it doesn't get harder core than this.

However....

There are a couple compromises with this tent.First, it's HEAVY.Almost 9 lbs, out of the store.By the time you add a tarp/ground-cloth, guy-lines, stake ties, and other stakes, this baby hits 10+ lbs in a flash.Secondly, the stakes that come with it are great for solid ice and varied solid ground types, but they aren't good for softer snow and other types of anchor. My primary use is soft, dry snow environments, which often need a bigger stake than these little pokers, to hold in high wind.SMC-snow stakes are a must on a few of the corners for the environments I plan to use the tent in.Finally, the ability to pitch the fly without the tent seems great, but I question the necessity.I wish they hadn't put all of the clips under the fly, because they add weight and catch on the poles, when the tent is set up.Cute feature, but by the time you're buying a tent like this one, chances are pretty good that you have other, lighter, and more situation-appropriate tents to do the job of the fly-only feature.

This tent retains heat quite well, so I can't imagine using it in any season or environment, other than frozen.Just in the house, while prepping it for use, it was about 10 degrees F higher than the house temp, and that's without the fly.Body heat goes a long way. This tent would be severe overkill for warmer environments, unless really high winds or sustained, drenching rains were anticipated.

Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 3 - Three Person Tent Review

Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 3 - Three Person TentI bought this as my first tent for hiking/BWCAW/car camping tent, and it is pretty nice. If you are looking for a spacious tent for 2 people that weights 4.5 lbs, and you have a little scratch to blow, this is it. Sets up in about 5 minutes, and it tight as a drum. Very tight and very light, well worth the price. Get or make a footprint, I could see the floor getting holes w/o one. I also have the gear loft which works nicely for keeping a few items within reach and off the floor. The only downside, which is not a factor for me, is this would be a tiny 3 man tent, although 3 will fit. I don't ever plan on trying that out. The vestibule is a little small, but I could see a lot of stuff fitting in there if you really crammed it in or stacked it.

Marmot Earlylight Tent - 2 Person Review

Marmot Earlylight Tent - 2 PersonAs a professional, I have to say this tent is awesome, and despite what the other review said, I believe it works well in cold weather as well as hot.The vents at the top (which are there so you don't suffocate in the snow) can easily be velcroed shut. This, combined with the fly keep out the wind nicely.True, the window in the fly is always open for anyone to look in, but it's pretty small.Don't camp with weirdos!
I love the fact that the fly comes all the way to the ground, which is great in the rain, and allows me to keep my gear dry without it being inside the tent. It's easy and quick to put up...a little tough in the wind, but doable.because of it's low profile, shape of the fly, and tie-down anchors, it performs excellently in strong winds.

Gigatent Wildcat Mountain Family Tent Review

Gigatent Wildcat Mountain Family TentI can not explain how horrified i was when this tent collapsed on me and my husband on our first trip with it. before this i have owned only coleman tents but I wanted a bargain. The last tent i owned for 5 years but it was tatered. I deffinately did not get what i paid for. I camped at the beach, and the wind was blowing (like it always does at the beach) and the roof poles snapped like a blade of grass. Not one but two poles at the same time. I finished the last 3 days of my 6 day adventure with duct taped poles to hold my tent together. Thank god for duct tape. dont waste your money.

BlackPine- 14 x 10 6-Person Pine Crest Turbo Tent Review

BlackPine- 14 x 10 6-Person Pine Crest Turbo TentI practiced with this tent once. When it came time to actually use it, it went up fairly easy. I found the"T" door large enough to comfortably put our stuff inside and easy to use. We used two twin beds for sleeping (yes actual twin beds, bunk bed side by side.) with about 18" in between. The side doors facilitated getting outof bed at night for bathroom runs. We had some gusty winds, we were not bothered though. And when it came time to tear down it went down as easy as it went up. The carry case is nice and roomy.

Kamp-Rite Camoflauge Rainfly Review

Kamp-Rite Camoflauge RainflyThis item is perfect for my needs. I don't use it with the cot it's supposed to go with, I use it as a waterproof cover for numerous items or as an additional or substitute rainfly when camping/outdoors, etc. The camouflage is especially useful for covering items for which I don't have room to store inside i.e. a bike, etc., and this helps prevent would be thieves from discovering those items when they are poking around in your backyard on a winter's night! The quality and thickness of the material is good and the shape of it makes it somewhat easier to use as a weatherproof cover than a tarp. A hunter could easily use this as a "blind" by setting up a few sticks to hold it up and getting behind/underneath, or as an emergency shelter. It's very light and can be compressed into a small backpack with ease, and I bought the largest version (the double). The price is not bad for the quality and the shipping was prompt. I would definitely recommend it if you feel that it suits your needs. The Mossy oak breakup camo is beautiful, beats a regular blue tarp by a long shot!

Sportz Truck Tent III for Compact Size Long bed trucks Review

Sportz Truck Tent III for Compact Size Long bed trucksThe design of the Napier Sportz Truck tent is very good and well thought out. However, I can not recommend the product due to major problems with the fiberglass tent poles. The tent uses five jointed poles, differing in length and sized based on purpose. With very occasional and light use three poles have failed, one the first time it was used. The company, Napier, would not replace any of them but did offer to sell me new ones. Considering the price of the tent and the very light use I would have to list this tent as unsatisfactory and would strongly suggest a buyer look elsewhere. Concept great, tent construction and design great, tent poles total failure.

Rite In The Rain - All-Weather Pocket Journal (4" x 6") Review

Rite In The Rain - All-Weather Pocket JournalI recently used my weatherproof journal for the first time cycling rough terrain and through a couple of thunderstorms in the south of Madagascar. The journal, after jotting down most experiences in almost all weather conditions, and after 8 days and 40 pages later, still looks exactly like the day I bought it - that is new. Not one smudged or faded page. I love this product - it's rekindled my writing interest in addition to being a very useful way to ensure those memories on life's less traveled roads are not lost. And its funky yellow plastic cover ensures you never have to squint or look around much capturing that golden moment led by inspiration! Fantastic product I can fully reccommend it.

Coleman Exponent Bozeman X60 External-Frame Pack Review

Coleman Exponent Bozeman X60 External-Frame PackWhat's the most important aspect of a backpack?Comfort.

Have used this pack on numerous week-long backpacking trips, sometimes carrying other people's gear.I've had this thing weigh in at over 55 lbs at the start of a trip. I'm tall and thin, suffer from minor to major joint (back, shoulders, knees, etc) pain when I'm active.

Simply put, I'm not very sturdy. But guess what? 4 days into a trip with 50+lbs and 10 miles per day and NO neck, shoulder, back, or hip pain.Impossible!

Pack can adjust to fit very long (or short) torsos.I think this could probably fit up to someone 6'4". I've also managed to fit this thing so that almost all of it's weight squarely on my hips.

Bottom line:Even if money weren't an issue, I would take this pack over 300 and 400 dollar packs with no regrets.Having your back and shoulders feel fresh after a long heavy hike is priceless.

Katadyn TRK Drip Gravidyn Water Filter Review

Katadyn TRK Drip Gravidyn Water FilterI purchased the TRK Drip Filter (Gravidyn) as a gift for a relative (for home use) in southeast Asia whose water supply is from a well. The criteria were: ceramic element, compact, plastic or synthetic housing. As I've used Katadyn Combi Filter for backpacking and occasionally at home for 6 years, Katadyn was high on my list. IMO, ceramic elements give the best filtration. The initial cost is high but their value is realized through durability and long life. This unit has been in service since January '06, filtering ~10L/day or a total of ~3,300L (864 gallons) so far. The Activated Carbon (A/C) portion of the filter is effective for 6 months but the ceramic is good for 39,000 gallons (~148,980L). What I like most about this filter: fast flow rate (3 elements), impregnated silver-oxide prevents fungus/mildew growth on/in the element.

Product Description:
The Katadyn TRK Drip Gravidyn free-standing gravity filter features a 10 liter water container for large quantities of water. It's ideal for the water supply for camps, cabins and homes without running water. This Gravidyn version comes with three combined ceramic and activated carbon filter elements.
Ceramic filters have a micro porous structure with impregnated silver which delays the growth of bacteria. The pore-size of Katadyn ceramic filters is 0.2 micron (0.0002 mm). Bacteria range in size from 0.2 to 5 micron and, like protozoa (1 to 15 micron), are efficiently filtered out. Ceramic filters can be mechanically regenerated and the filter capacity is measurable.
Activated carbon is used for its ability to reduce harmful organic and inorganic substances in the water. It removes unpleasant tastes, odors, chlorine, pesticides (lindane, DDT) and trihalomethanes (THMs). These substances adhere to the large surface area of the activated carbon. Activated carbon granulate cannot be regenerated.
Specifications:

Technology: 0.2 micron ceramic depth filter
    Output: ca. 4 liters/hour
Cartridge Capacity: Up to 150'000 l (depending on water quality)
Carbon Capacity: Recommended to change after 6 months
    Weight: ca. 3.3 kg
    Size: 25 x 45 cm (9.8 x 17.7 inches)

Why Treat Water?
A crystal-clear stream or lake usually contains microorganisms that can make you sick. Water contaminants like protozoa, bacteria and viruses, can cause serious illness. Optimize your travel preparation and use a portable drinking water system from Katadyn.
About Katadyn

Kelty Sunshade Review

Kelty SunshadeI recently saw a couple of these shelters on a camping trip and knew I had to have one. After reading some reviews on the square footprint versions and heard they were difficult to set up,I opted for this because I typically have to accomplish this chore alone.I had this shelter up within five minutes all by myself and I'm a small person. The poles are some of the thickest and most heavy duty bungee type fiber-glass poles I've ever seen and it really pays off once the shelter is standing. It feels super sturdy. The poles account for most of the 10 pounds of total weight, but it's not to heavy to carry a good distance. One feature that I thought showed great fore-thought was that there were two sets of eyelets in the bottom strap that the pole feet hook into. This would assure a snug fit over the years as the fabric stetches, otherwise you'd wish you had some way to take up the slack.I haven't used the shelter in a high wind situation yet, but judging by the sturdiness afforded by the triangular shape... I'm sure it would do great as long as you staked it down with the six provided stakes (2 opposing stakes per foot).Plenty of room in the stuff sack elminated what's always my biggest fear, getting it all back in the bag. No problems there. I'd definitely recommend this one to anyone.

Kelty Teton 2 Footprint Review

Kelty Teton 2 FootprintIt is exactly tailored to the special shape of the tent--having rings located at the four corners so that the tent's press-fit poles directly connect it to the tent itself--and works very well in protecting the floor of the actual tent as well as keeping it nice and dry.And because it was made to fit the Teton 2 specifically, the footprint is completely hidden once the tent is fully assembled.

While tarps are often used for the same purpose, they can be hard to manage being that they're often big, heavy, noisy and just dowright cumbersome. The footprint, however, is light, cleans and dries easily & quickly, and packs right along with the rest of the tent while in storage.I definitely made the right decision spending the extra $30 and would heavily recommend it to anyone even considering the Teton 2 as a tent purchase.

Kelty Grand Mesa 6 Footprint Review

Kelty Grand Mesa 6 FootprintSince the price is high, my expectation was that it would be thick and solid fabric. It is extremely thin which you feel all little rocks and cracks in the ground. It does not rip and appears to be strong but it is overpriced. I also have a similar size tarp that I purchased 9 years ago for $35 which offers much better protection and support.

Losi Gear Loft by Nemo Review

Losi Gear Loft by NemoI have purchased and used gear lofts made for several top name tents (North Face, Mountain Hardwear and Marmot, to name a few), but none were as versatile as NEMO loft for the Losi 2P. It has several pockets, a couple even large enough to store magazines when you're too tired to read any more. Coleman Mountaineer Dog Tent, Large Review

Coleman Mountaineer Dog Tent, LargeOur dogs and cats have enjoyed this tent (one at a time), as it gave them their own little private shaded space. However, we found it a bit difficult to assemble (even with two people), and after it was toppled over by the wind, one of the supports broke when we were trying to reassemble it.

We have found a way to prop it up and keep it in shape (by inserting one of our Coleman Pet Bone Loungers), but we won't be purchasing another one unless the company fortifies and/or redesigns the support system.

Kelty Shadehouse 12' Shelter (Navy/Grey) Review

Kelty Shadehouse 12' ShelterJune 2009 edit from June 25, 2007
If I could, I'd reduce this rating to 3 stars.Minus a star for the strength needed for setup. Also subtracted another star based on the other reviewer's point that the shade provided is smaller than the footprint space taken up by the outstretched legs - unless the panels are used. And the height is a bit low, in my opinion.Overall, in this updated review I can say this cover has stood up well to winds - 30-45mph+ -and rain, with or without the panels in attached over several campouts in 2007-2009.

I was searching for a shade that could stand up to wind, rain and weather, but that also provided wall panel(s) to keep the shade planted directly over my gear while the sun moves across the sky. I chose and purchased this at it's full price, though it wasn't specifically advertised as a weather shade.

Since 2007 was the first year Kelty offered wall panels with this model, I suppose they underestimated how much in demand the panels would be, or how many panels people would want to buy, especially at the price for each wall (yikes). It took a few months of research to find 4 available panels, most were sold out.

The design/set up is very SIMPLE, but hard to achieve.Slide the poles through the diagonal pockets of the shelter (like a tent frame). The four corner legs of the material have metal pins that must be pushed into the ends of the poles at each corner. The pins go in easily when the legs are not being pulled taut, but once one pin goes in, the opposite side requires the strength of at least 2 well-muscled people.Tip: at least one time we've successfully used a panHandler appliance to grasp the pin and push it in.

The 4 wall panels block out the suns rays and rain. You might get away with only one panel for sunblock, as it's fairly easy to move the panel around as the shade moves with the sun, but 4 panels are great for rainy blustery days.If you plan to use the panels, don't stake the legs until putting the panels on all 4 sides, testing the distance from hook to hook. Otherwise the legs can be placed too far away for the panel to hook to each leg and you'll have to pull up the leg (& restake) to make the panel fit.

The super lightweight shelter packs easily into a smallish, roomy carry case, and there is plenty of room for all 4 extra accessory wallpanels.

Rio Adventure Camp Cot (King-Size) Review

Rio Adventure Camp CotI live in a dorm and bought this product for when my friends end up staying the night.I bought the Kingsize because I have several tall friends that stay over sometimes. This cot is a well made prduct and I would recomment it to anyone looking to buy a cot that folds like this.It isn't something i would bring on a camping trip or anything like this since it only folds in 1/2 (does not collapse to a compact size). It fits nicely between the head of my bed and the wall when folded. Also I don't know how well it would hold up on uneven ground. The frame is thin walled tubing like you would find on a beach chair.
In terms of size limits. It is long enough to sleep my freind who is 6'5".(i don't know if he hangs over the edge or not.My 6'2" friend sleeps comfortably on it.The weight limit says 220lbs, however i tip the scales at 245 and have slept on it several times with no ill effects. When looking to purchase it I was a little worried about the width (only 2 feet) but now that i have slept on it i have no complaints about the width.

Wenzel Grand Lodge 14- by 12-Foot, 8 Person Cabin Dome Tent Review

Wenzel Grand Lodge 14- by 12-Foot, 8 Person Cabin Dome TentI love everything about this tent except the rainfly. It does not deflect rain. It collects it. My first tent collapsed under the weight of collected rain in the fly. The steel poles fractured & tore multiple holes through the tent sides. We did have flood conditions in that storm so I let it go to 'the not so normal heavy rains'. I really liked everything else about it so I ordered another one. It is very spacious, has sturdy fabric & can be set up by one person very easily. However, the new tent also endured a thunderstorm & continued to collect rain. The best thing to do in rain is unhook the fly from the fly poles & stake the fly directly to the ground. It has a straight line & works better. Now that I figured that out I love it, but, it was an expensive lesson.

Designed for privacy, this cabin-style, 14-foot x 12-foot two-room dome tent with 86 inches of center head room accommodates eight campers and has a divider curtain to divide the tent into two rooms. Two D-style doors provide separate entries. A welded-polyethylene tub-style floor keeps out ground moisture. The tent is made of rugged, weather-resistant polyester with a polyurethane coating for reliability. A removable fly keeps out rain. Double-stitched, lap-feld seams provide a shingle effect to prevent moisture seepage. A rain-shingle layer on the tent's lower portion provides a watershed effect. Other weather-resistant details include thread, zippers, and webbing treated with water repellents. Six windows and roof are made of polyester mesh. A shockcorded steel frame provides stability and quick set-up. A loft stores gear. The tent has a carry weight of 47.2 pounds and comes with a 10-year warranty against defects.

Product Description:
The Katadyn Combi Microfilter combines a silver impregnated ceramic element and a refillable, activated carbon cartridge. It is effective against bacteria and protozoa and also reduces chemicals and bad taste. With the optional "PLUS" package, the Combi can be connected to a water faucet for multifunctional use in campers, cottages or boats.
Key Features:

2-stage filter (active carbon, ceramic) not only removes disease-causing agents, but also chemicals and improves the taste of the drinking water
Simple change to 1-stage operation (only ceramic without activated carbon stage) reduces use of active carbon granules and ensures maximum use of capacity
    Long lasting and extremely reliable
Tap add-on kit "Plus" offers simple connection to a tap in a kitchen, caravan, camper or boat--the only water filter for both indoor and outdoor use
Cleanable ceramic filter element--also filters very cloudy water
Measuring gauge supplied--indicates when the filter element should be changed

Technology: 0.2 micron ceramic depth filter and activated carbon
    Output: ca. 1 liters/minute
Cartridge Capacity: up to 50,000 l (depending on water quality)
Carbon Capacity: up to 400 l (2 fillings)
    Weight: ca. 580 g
    Size: 27 x 6 cm (10.6 x 2.4 inches)
