Fits my 2005 Tacoma perfectly.Took a little effort to get the poles in place, but it went together fine.You will need a tie down in the front of the truck bed, but you can use a loop of 1/4" nylon rope through the drain holes to anchor the front of the tent.

I bough this SUV tent a few years back and have been impressed on the versatility of this tent. I first used it on a 2004 Honda CRV and am now using it on a 2009 Honda Fit. Its easy to set up and a great way to sleep in the back of your car with a tent for all you stuff. the tent has the nice feature of becoming a free standing tent if you want to disconnect it from the SUV and drive into town.

SUV and Minivan 4-Person Sport Tent Review

We decided to give this SUV & Minivan Sport Tent a shot. We are heavy into tent/car-camping and we love the interior space of a large tent.Although we are very happy tent campers we do crave more amenities and options from a tent. This is why we selected the Sport Tent. What we like about it is it's ability to utilize the amenties found in our vehicle while still being in the cocoon of a large comfortable tent.

Our vehicle has DVD and Audio components that we can use as well as several rear power output ports for inflating air mattresses and zillions of other cool and useful gadgets that requires a power source.

You can sit or sleep in either the vehicle or the tent simultaneously. We now watch movies and listen to music with state of the art audio and video clarity without disturbing ourneighbors. We utilize the vehicles wireless headphones in case one of us wants to sleep while the other stays up grooving to tunes and video. We can use the vehicle's rear power ports right inside the tent. You can't beat this and we can still camp anywhere, especially in the more remote and pristine areas where those big RVs and long travel trailers cannot get to.

This tent works for us and we recommend it.

Sportz Truck Tent III Review

I just bought one of these tents a couple of weeks ago.The setup took about 20 minutes and then another 10 minutes for the canopy.The tent goes up just like any other popup tent with the fiberglass poles.The tent holes are color coded to the poles so that was a plus.The setup for the middle (inside) pole (that runs across the roof on the inside) was a little awkward because you had to be in the tent to set it up.

3 gripes/cons:

1. The tent should have a padded floor to pad you and your knees from the hard metal truck bed.It would be fairly easy to make some sort of insert/pocket for placing padding in the bottom.

2. The door for the tent is difficult to zip shut at the corner due to the high amount of tension from the arching support pole.I had to unclip the hangar clip from the pole to get the door to zip shut.Unclipping the hangar clip is a 1/2 second task that easily corrects the zipper issue.

3. The canopy could be design a little better to handle rain.My canopy would pool rain water that had to be dumped.It would have been better designed by having a rainfly type pole support system.This support would keep the canopy stiff and the water would run off.

Pros:

1. Keeps you off the ground (great for rainy weather.)
2. Tent shape is very open inside so there's lots of room to move around inside.
3. Excellent ventilation.
4. Neat little 'glove' type hole that allows you to reach into your truck's back window without having to expose your hand to the outside (great for when it's raining.)

It just so happens that it rained the first night I took this tent out.The rainfly and the tent kept me dry and waterproof.

Overall - an excellent tent.

I ordered my 83000 tent as part of Napier's initial production run.I was really excited to get the new design because of the screened porch.I had no idea what to expect since I had never purchased a Napier Sportz product before.This is far and away the best tent I have ever owned.All of my past tent purchases were for the purpose of lightweight backpacking.They were great for their intended purpose, but wore out relatively quickly for the same reason...lightweight materials and construction.This Napier tent is one heavy bastard, but that's okay since it is intended for SUV camping. I've been thoroughly impressed by the quality design and construction.The materials are strong and durable.And, considering how big this tent really is, it is a snap to set up.We're talking two main poles for the main tent. That's it!Another two poles for the screened porch and you're done.Hooking up to the SUV is as easy as putting your socks on.In fact, I don't even bother with all of the available straps because the expandable band thatis sewn into the SUV sleeve is strong enough to grab your truck by itself.Totally simple, and totally kick butt.To give you an idea of the strength of the tent, I have a 2 gallon igloo beverage container that I strap on to the center of the tent ceiling and the tent doesn't budge...handles it like a champ.That's 16 pounds of water hanging from the tent poles, folks.I can't speak to how the tent will hold up over time, but I'm giving it 5 stars based on my initial impressions.I think for any price under $400, this tent is a great value.

SportZ SUV - Mini Van Tent Review

We bought this hoping it would fit on the spur of the moment. To our delightful surprize it was wonderful! It doesn't say it on the box but it also fits a Ford F150 with a canopy on just perfect! Now we can take the dogs kennels and whatever we need and not have to leave things out in the elements. Texsport The Lodge Square Dome Tent Review

We purchased this tent for Bonnaroo 2007. The first one to arrive had some problems but as usual Amazon was lightning fast with a replacement and we were ready to take off for Manchester, Tenn. The special feature we like about this tent is the ability to attach the tent to our rental SUV. It worked flawlessly and was very easy to accomplish. We really enjoyed being able to stand up inside the tent and have all the SUV space to store things and reach them easily from inside the tent. You see a lot of different tents at Bonnaroo every year and Texsport Lodge Square Dome was one of the very good styles that we saw. Except for having to replace the first one, this was a very good product that served our needs perfectly.
