I have been using this for a year, including backcountry backpacking in Yosemite. The tent packs well, is light, and comfortably accommodates me (6ft, 190lbs). It's solid in wind. However, the poles seem a bit on the flimsy side and my climbing partner has broken one on his similar tent, so I would be careful when setting up.

Coleman Exponent Avior X2 Tent Review

I have been an outdoors-man for some time and I am particularly happy to have found this tent.For the money, it is everything I could want in a tent.It fits inside my hiking backpack right next to my sleeping bag.It is lightweight, fast and easy to setup, comes with a repair kit, and everything fits back in the bag for once.I was considering a few other tents when I actually got a chance to see this one on the trail at Red River Gorge. I bought it as soon as I got home from that trip.I have used it 4 times this summer and I have found no problems with it.It was a little cold the one morning when the frost was on the outside, but I had a good bag. I really enjoy this tent.

I picked up four of these for regular use by visitors to my apartment (gotta love couchsurfing.com). The units have kept well under regular use, but be careful when folding them back up.. there is a chance the material of the cot will get caught on the bars when closing, and that both stretches the material and can even tear it. This just means you have to be diligent when closing the units to keep it good and extend their life. [...] these are a really good value. I recommend them.

The cot was a little tight when I first assembled it, so I left it assembled for a couple weeks and slept on it on the back porch a few times.Now that it is broken in, it is easy to set up.The 500 pound capacity is probably right, because I am light and tend to bounce of easily,it seems hard compared to the cots I have worn out in the past.The really nice thing is the size 6' 11" long by 32 1/2" wide. The only problem was the buckle for the storage strap which was made of plastic and broke when I cinched it up.

Kamp-Rite Camoflauge Rainfly Review

This item is perfect for my needs. I don't use it with the cot it's supposed to go with, I use it as a waterproof cover for numerous items or as an additional or substitute rainfly when camping/outdoors, etc. The camouflage is especially useful for covering items for which I don't have room to store inside i.e. a bike, etc., and this helps prevent would be thieves from discovering those items when they are poking around in your backyard on a winter's night! The quality and thickness of the material is good and the shape of it makes it somewhat easier to use as a weatherproof cover than a tarp. A hunter could easily use this as a "blind" by setting up a few sticks to hold it up and getting behind/underneath, or as an emergency shelter. It's very light and can be compressed into a small backpack with ease, and I bought the largest version (the double). The price is not bad for the quality and the shipping was prompt. I would definitely recommend it if you feel that it suits your needs. The Mossy oak breakup camo is beautiful, beats a regular blue tarp by a long shot!

Slumberjack Emergency Cot Review

This cot is very sturdy.It takes me (who usually is very challenged at this sort of thing) absolutely no time to put together.It is "stiff"--meaning it doesn't sag.Best of all, it fits in a bag about the same size as a camping chair.I used it camping, and my son (11) uses it for sleepovers.Mind you, it isn't real "comfortable."I can sleep on it without backaches, but it isn't a puffy mattress.But it serves its purpose.We will probably purchase two more, so noone has to sleep on air mattresses camping.

Rio Adventure Military Style Cot Review

Bought this cot as a temporary solution while I was moving.Much more dignity then an air mattress.I slept in it for about a month before my mattress arrived.While the bed is great, I have to admit that I miss the cot from time to time.No support issues whatsoever and quite comfortable for stretched canvas.It accommodated my fairly good size frame with no problem (although company is challenging).I am planning camping trips right now so that I have an excuse to use it again.Being able to sleep on your back is very important for successful use of this cot.Sleeping on your side will cause your arm to fall asleep within 30-45 minutes.

Rothco Camouflage 2-Man Trail Tent Review

I guess you really do get what you pay for.I bought this tent last year for around $45 to go camping for a week in the woods.The tent came with very cheap,flimsy shepherd crook stakes that aren't very effective,and the aluminum poles had a small plastic knob on the end to slip into a grommet on the tent.These knobs broke as soon as it was out of the box.I wound up just using two sticks,whittled down to fit the grommets.This would have been sufficient with better stakes.Also the tent was very cramped with just me and my pack.I suggest only using this as a solo tent.With decent tent stakes and better poles,it would be an affordable one man tent.

Texsport Camouflage Headquarters Square Dome Tent Review

I lived in this tent for the better part of three unseasonably cold and wet summer weeks in Maine.I stayed dry (for the most part) in spite of heavy rains lasting up to eight hours and one severe thunderstorm that lit up the tent's walls like a strobe light.I'll take the blame for any problems: the door was on the (slightly) uphill side, so some water dripped in through the bottom of the door zipper, but only after hours of continuous rain. During the thunderstorm, maybe a dozen drops blew in, not enough to wet the bottom of a shot glass. It was fine in the wind, but I would say that this is a three season tent.

The bug netting is fine, and for the price of one night in a motel, the tent owes me nothing.I outfitted it with boxsprings and a matress from a twin bed and a sturdy table/bench, leaving me plenty of room to stand and change clothes.

I love this tent!

Coleman Trailhead II Folding Cot Review

Fantastic product right out of the box but after sleeping on it about three times it has stretched out so that the end bars can just fall off the pegs while I'm sleeping. There is also a seam that has pulled out so the edging is coming off. A few stitches will fix it up no problem but, well, it's just not military.

Kamp-Rite Tent Cot Original Size Rainfly (Green) Review

I recently purchased the tent cot and decided that it would be best to have the rain fly to go along with it. The rainfly fits snuggly with elastic corners. Also, there are straps that attach to the ends of the cot with clips. The sides tie down in four places to prevent it from flying around when you don't have it fully zipped up. My only gripe and the reason it doesn't get five stars is that I think it should have just come with the tent cot in the first place rather than having to order it separately.
