Kelty Deluxe Carport Review

I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey that is big enough for my wife and I to sleep in while camping, but not big enough to store all our camping gear at the same time.So, when I came across the Carport Deluxe in a catalog I knew I had found the answer to our problem.It was *perfect* on our first outing.At night we'd keep it down with all our gear inside the shelter and there was still tons of room (this thing is HUGE) for changing, or reading, or eating dinner, etc.During the day we'd put it up as an awning and it was great for shade (once again, it is much bigger than we expected, but that is a *good* thing).We've also used it for tailgate parties at Anaheim Stadium, and it can be used separate from the van as a shelter at the beach.It has performed perfectly for it's purpose.

Texsport Spinnaker Auto/SUV Sports Shade Review

This shelter is not bad for $40 but there are some significant drawbacks to it, and you may want to pony up the bucks for the Kelty or something else. I put it up for the first time today and immediately one of the pole clips snapped with barely any pressure. The first thing I noticed was the shock cords are absolutely too loose so the poles don't stay together well, so this was more of a hassle to put up than it should have been. The no-see-um window is a better idea than I thought it would be but badly sewn in and I suspect the zipper tabs will soon part ways. I still gave this a 4 because it's only $40 and I can see it will be functional despite these probs. Had I known though I might have gone with more quality.

Texsport Calypso Cabana Beach Shelter Review

Bought this for our spring break camping trip in Florida's panhandle.

First day was VERY windy.If we had a tail, I think we could have flown it as a kite.I consider it a success that the cabana didn't rip apart.

Our second adventure worked much better.Still windy, but not as bad as the first day.Filled the pockets with sand, (and buried them in sand as well)Worked great and it was nice to have a place to keep all the beach toys and get out of the sun and wind occasionally.

Texsport Montana Screen Arbor Review

I used this unit ten days straight, subjecting it to windy rainstorms and late-May Florida bugs and heat and it performed nicely. With the exception of one seam leak, the unit was reliably protective and sturdy. One of my camping neighbors even asked me where he could get one like it.

I bought this one as Christmas present for my nephew. Couldn't test it on the beach due to the weather. Played with it in the park, it is quite easy to set up and fold up. Highly recommend.

The fabric is better than the cheap pop up tent in the market.
