I received this as a gift last year and promptly took it on a 3 day wilderness expedition. When you have to carry everything you could possibly need over 3 days of exploring, weight matters a lot, and this hammock weighs near nothing. You will also appreciate how relaxing it is to not have to deal with uneven/rocky ground that hurts almost as bad a too heavy pack. It is also setup and ready for use in a few minutes... very simple to get camp ready after a long day of hiking and mapping. My only beef with it is that the mesh is not even remotely flame retardant, as a stray ember from our small campfire hit it and burned a 1 inch hole nearly instantly. Nothing that the almighty piece of duct tape couldn't fix, but it would've been a great feature.Between this and my Katadyn, I'll never hit a trail without it!
