This is a decent headlamp for the low cost. It turns on/off by loosening or tightening the lens cover. The beam is not adjustable. The batteries last a long time and mine came with a spare bulb. It does not appear to be a specialized bulb and a replacement can be bought whererever batteries, bulbs etc are sold. The head harness is adjustable and comfortable. It takes only 2 AA batteries and therefore is less bulky and has no exposed wire as other similar, more expensive headlamps generally do.
